Refund Policy

This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds on Booker Texas consulting services. We strive to provide valuable services, but we understand that circumstances may require cancellation or modification of engagements.

1. General Policy

Our services are professional consulting engagements delivered on a project basis. Due to the customized nature of our work and the time invested in each client engagement, our refund policy reflects the work completed at any given point.

2. Initial Consultation

Initial consultations to discuss potential engagement are provided at no charge. There is no payment required and therefore no refund applicable for these discovery conversations.

3. Project Deposits

Most projects require a 50% deposit upon acceptance of the proposal to secure our time and begin work. This deposit is non-refundable once work has commenced, as it covers:

  • Initial research and discovery activities
  • Team allocation and scheduling
  • Preliminary analysis and planning

If you cancel before work begins (within 48 hours of deposit payment and before any services are rendered), the deposit is fully refundable.

4. Mid-Project Cancellation

If you choose to cancel an engagement after work has begun but before completion:

  • You are responsible for payment for all work completed to date
  • We will provide you with all work products created up to the cancellation point
  • Any prepaid amounts for work not yet completed will be refunded on a prorated basis
  • Refunds are calculated based on the percentage of agreed deliverables that remain uncompleted

5. Post-Delivery Satisfaction

Once final deliverables have been provided and the project is considered complete, payments are non-refundable. However, we stand behind the quality of our work:

  • If deliverables don't meet specifications outlined in the proposal, we will revise them at no additional cost
  • We include one round of revisions in project scope for most engagements
  • If you're dissatisfied with work quality, contact us within 14 days of delivery to discuss resolution

Important: Dissatisfaction with business outcomes or results is not grounds for refund. As stated in our Terms and Conditions, we do not guarantee specific business results from implementing our recommendations.

6. Termination by Booker Texas

If we terminate an engagement due to client non-cooperation, breach of agreement, or other client-caused issues:

  • You are responsible for payment for all work completed
  • No refund will be provided for work already performed
  • Unused prepaid amounts may be refunded at our discretion based on circumstances

7. Force Majeure

If either party cannot fulfill obligations due to circumstances beyond reasonable control (natural disasters, pandemics, significant illness, etc.), we will work together to either:

  • Reschedule the engagement to a later date, or
  • Cancel with refunds based on work completed

8. Refund Process

To request a refund:

  1. Contact us at [email protected] with your refund request
  2. Provide your project details and reason for the refund request
  3. We will review the request within 5 business days
  4. Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days
  5. Refunds are issued to the original payment method

9. Disputes

If you disagree with a refund decision or believe work quality was inadequate:

  • Contact us first to discuss the issue and seek resolution
  • We're committed to fair treatment and reasonable accommodations
  • Most disputes can be resolved through direct communication

If resolution cannot be reached, disputes are subject to the governing law provisions in our Terms and Conditions.

10. Subscription or Retainer Services

If you engage us for ongoing retainer or subscription services (separate from standard project work):

  • Cancellation requires 30 days written notice
  • No refunds for the current billing period
  • Services continue through the end of the paid period
  • No penalties for cancellation with proper notice

11. Third-Party Costs

If we incur third-party costs on your behalf (software licenses, research tools, advertising spend, etc.), these costs are non-refundable as they represent external expenses we cannot recover.

12. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Projects already underway are governed by the policy in effect at the time of engagement.
